Eagles Flag Football teams compete throughout Winnipeg and Manitoba, including provincial tournament play, giving athletes the opportunity to test their skills against teams from across the province in a competitive tournament environment.

Team philosophy

Sometimes me.
Sometimes you.
Always us.

Every rep, every drill, every game belongs to the whole team. Sometimes the play runs through you — sometimes it runs through a teammate — but win or lose, we move as one. Eagles players put the team first, lift each other up, and show up for the name on the front of the jersey.

Fair play philosophy
Play the right way

Respect first

Teammates, opponents, officials, and coaches all earn respect on our field. We compete hard, shake hands after, and represent the Eagles with class every time we take the turf.

Equal opportunity

Every player plays

Every athlete who puts on an Eagles jersey gets meaningful playing time and real chances to develop. Growth happens on the field, not from the sideline.

Own your game

Sportsmanship & effort

We play to win, but never at the cost of the game. No excuses, no blaming, no shortcuts — just honest effort, accountability, and pride in how we compete.

Safety & inclusion

A place for everyone

Flag football is for every kid who wants to play. We keep the game safe, welcoming, and fun for all skill levels, backgrounds, and experience across Winnipeg and Manitoba.

04Sponsorship

Back the Eagles

Your brand.
Our sideline.

Eagles Flag Football wasn't built by a corporation — it was built by kids who refused to leave the field. Our program was started by a 17-year-old who wanted more young athletes to have a team to call their own, and today it's run by young adults, still just 18, as a non-profit with one purpose: giving young athletes in Winnipeg and Manitoba a real place to play, compete, and grow. Nobody here does this for a paycheque. We do it because we were those kids on the field — and we know what this game can give a player who just needs someone to believe in them.

When you sponsor the Eagles, you're not backing a business — you're backing that. Sponsor support helps cover jerseys, equipment, field time, and tournament costs, and keeps the program accessible for every family in Winnipeg and Manitoba.

In return, sponsors become part of the team: your brand in front of players, parents, and fans at every practice, game, and tournament, all season long.

05Questions, answered

FAQs

Flag football is a fast, non-contact version of football where players pull a flag from the ball carrier's belt instead of tackling. It keeps all the excitement of the game — passing, catching, route running, and defensive reads — in a safe, easy-to-learn format that's perfect for developing young athletes.

Everyone is welcome — every player is guaranteed a roster spot in our recreational program, which is led by other certified coaches. A combine is required to join the competitive program, where athletes are picked based on skill, effort, and readiness for the next level.

No experience needed for recreational — first-time players are welcome and every spot is guaranteed. To join the competitive program, athletes attend a combine, so what matters most there is effort, coachability, and showing what you can do on the field.

Recreational focuses on fundamentals, confidence, and a love of the game through structured practices and local play. Competitive is a performance-focused path for athletes ready for advanced development and competition across Winnipeg and Manitoba. Not sure which fits? Reach out and we'll help place your player.
